PAMELA A. STEED, DDS, MSD
BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Steed is an Oral Medicine Specialist,
limiting her practice exclusively to Oral Medicine and Temporomandibular
Disorders.
Dr. Steed received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree
(DDS), her two-year Specialty Certificate of Postgraduate study in Oral
Medicine (admitted as a senior), and her Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD),
from Indiana University, School of Dentistry in 1983, 1984 and 1990,
respectively. She has practiced at the St. Vincent Hospital Professional
Building, Indianapolis, since 1984, and is on staff at both St. Vincent
Hospitals and Indiana University/Methodist Hospital, the latter through Clarian
Health Partners.
While at Dental School, Dr. Steed was honored as a
prestigious James L. Maus Scholar by the Indiana University School of
Dentistry, and notwithstanding managing a busy practice; she continues a close
academic relationship with her alma mater as a member of its Development
Committee. In addition, she is a Board Member for a number of national
scientific dental academies and holds Diplomate status from the American
Academy of Pain Management, and American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, as well
as Fellowship status from the International College of Cranio-Mandibular
Orthopedics. Additionally, Dr. Steed maintains active membership in numerous
scientific organizations germane to her practice specialty.
Over the
years, Dr. Steed has accrued innumerable hours of continuing education credits,
and received numerous honors in her field. She has contributed significantly to
the scientific literature, having published several noteworthy articles for
various refereed scientific journals, and, as an eminent specialist, has
lectured extensively both domestically and internationally. In addition, Dr.
Steed has conducted important research in the field of Diagnostic Imaging and
continues to maintain ongoing investigations in the application of Psychometric
Analysis as it relates to diagnosis and treatment outcomes in temporomandibular
joint dysfunction.
