PAMELA A. STEED, DDS, MSD

Dr. Pamela A. Steed — DDS in Indianapolis, IN
Dr. Pamela Steed's dental practice is exclusively devoted to the diagnoses and treatment of TMJ disorders, a family of problems associated with the jaw. Since 1984 Dr. Steed has treated TMJ patients to decrease or eliminate their craniofacial pain and improve their ability to function. With a DDS and MSD degree (Master of Science Degree) in Oral Medicine/Oral Diagnosis/Oral Pathology, both from Indiana University School of Dentistry, Dr. Steed can diagnose and treat patients non-surgically to improve a person's quality of life.

Because symptoms of TMJ (jaw joint problems) and associated craniofacial pain syndrome can masquerade as so many different conditions, it is often difficult to diagnose. Your "incurable" a headache, ear pain, or facial pain could be caused by your jaw joints, your bite and muscle spasms in the associated facial musculature. Dr. Steed can help determine the source and many signs and symptoms and provide appropriate treatment.

Practice Transition Announcement

Celebrating 40 Years of Excellence in TMJ Care

After more than forty years of service in the evaluation and treatment of craniofacial pain and temporomandibular disorders (TMD), Dr. Pamela Steed, DDS, MSD, has retired from clinical practice. Since founding her TMJ-focused clinic in 1986 on the Ascension St. Vincent Hospital Campus, Dr. Steed has been nationally recognized for her contributions in oral medicine, diagnosis, imaging, and psychometric analysis, as well as her leadership within the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

To ensure continuity of care for referring providers and their patients, Dr. Steed has selected Dr.

Gagandeep Bath, DDS, MDS, with complete confidence to assume responsibility for ongoing craniofacial pain and TMD services. Dr. Bath is exceptionally well-qualified, having earned her DDS from Indiana University, followed by a one-year fellowship and a two-year Master of Dental Science (MDS) program in Orofacial Pain and TMD Disorders at Rutgers University. She further advanced her expertise through study under Dr. Jeffrey Okeson at the University of Kentucky. For the past decade, her clinical practice has focused on the diagnosis and management of craniofacial pain syndromes and temporomandibular joint disorders, making her uniquely prepared to continue the standard of care established by Dr. Steed.

All active patient records, diagnostic imaging, appliance specifications, and treatment plans from Dr. Steed's practice are being transferred to Dr. Bath's office in full compliance with HIPAA. Patients currently in treatment will continue without interruption or repeated diagnostics. Referring providers will receive the same level of communication and follow-up reporting that has been a hallmark of Dr. Steed's practice.

Dr. Steed extends her sincere appreciation to her colleagues for their trust, collaboration, and support throughout her years in practice.
