Dr. Pamela Steed's dental practice is exclusively devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of TMJ disorders, a family of problems associated with the jaw. Since 1984 Dr. Steed has treated TMJ patients to decrease or eliminate their craniofacial pain and improve their ability to function. With a DDS degree and MSD degree (Master of Science Degree) in Oral Medicine/Oral Diagnosis, both from Indiana University School of Dentistry, Dr. Steed can diagnosis and treat patients non-surgically to improve a person's quality of life.
Because symptoms of TMJ (jaw joint problems) and associated craniofacial pain syndrome can masquerade as so many other conditions, it is often difficult to diagnose. Your “incurable” headache, ear pain, or facial pain could be generated by your jaw joints, your bite, and muscle spasms in the associated facial musculature. Dr. Steed can help determine the source of many signs and symptoms and provide appropriate treatment.
